Second Grade Vikings

Mrs. Madanski's class at DeVeaux Elementary

Thanks for Being a Wonderful Class!

September 16, 2011

Dear Parents,

It breaks my heart to say that today is the last day with my second graders. I am surprised at how attached I have become to these little people over the last few weeks, and how much I am going to miss them! The two second grade classes will be merged into one starting Monday, September 19th. Mrs. Weigel is truly an AMAZING teacher with years of experience in second grade. She will be the perfect person to take over your child’s education. We have been team teaching all week so the kids can be comfortable with her and the other students in her room. I have waited until today to tell the students so they would not be upset during the week. We have carried on as normal, and they have worked very hard all week long. I have given Mrs. Weigel all grades and papers so she can see what your child is capable of. She will send them home with your child next week.

I want to thank each and every one of my students and parents on such a welcoming start to the school year. DeVeaux is a very special school and will do great things this year. I look forward to hearing reports from the teachers and Mr. Henderly on how the year progresses.

Sincerely yours,
Cynthia Madanski

Welcome to our class blog!

Welcome to Mrs. Madanski’s second grade class blog!  The first day of school is right around the corner, and I am eagerly preparing the classroom and planning lessons for my students.  We will be using this blog often this year, as students will be leaving comments and eventually creating their own page to share.  Enjoy the rest of your summer and I can’t wait to meet you all on August 29th!
